The FCA Baseball and Softball Power Camp at the Lee’s Summit North Bronco Activities Complex drew over fifty youth from 8am-12pm daily. Campers received quality baseball and softball instruction and performed drills, timed events and scrimmage games with the direction and coaching of the college players from the FCA Grays. The Grays and the camp directors also focused on teaching how Christ should and can be a part of both sports and life.
Camp had many banner moments. Sluggerrr, mascot of the KC Royals, visited camp and shared his testimony with the campers. One camper traveled over three hours of take part in the camp! And many who have participated in camp for seven years, since its inauguration, returned as volunteers and helpers to the Huddle Leaders.
KC-FCA thanks John Gage of Lee’s Summit for planning and directing the camp this and previous years. We also extend our thanks to the FCA Grays Baseball team, Lee's Summit North FCA, John’s wife Tricia, Warren & Joan Vance, the multiple volunteers and coaches who made camp go, and our sponsors of the event: David Sunflower Seeds, Freestyle Graphics, Forbes Woodfire Grill, Eyeblack.com, Waldo Pizza, Akadema, and Culver's.

Batting practice was just one part of the drills and activities at camp.
