Fields of Faith 2009 Impacts 2,000 Students!
Fields of Faith 2009 persevered through inclimate weather to bring 2,000 students to local fields for worship, shared testimonies, challenges to know Christ and to read the Bible.  Inspired by the leadership of young king Josiah (2 Chronicles 34), on October 14, student leaders shared scripture and testimonies with their peers, and many fields also had youth worship bands leading their peers in song.  The following held fields this year:

Blue Valley Northwest High School
Harrisonville High School
Lee's Summit West High School
Liberty High School
Oak Grove High School
Platte County High School
Pleasant Hill High School
Raytown High School
Truman High School

These communities combined for a total of 2,000 attendees, with the largest gathering being at Blue Valley Northwest - nearly 700 students!  All fields were organized by student leaders and/or community volunteer teams, and many enjoyed partnership with local churches.  From the FCA-MKC Staff: WAY TO GO FIELDS OF FAITH PLANNING TEAMS!

A special blessing was shared with Harrisonville High School, Oak Grove High School and Truman High School as local professional athletes concluded their evenings by challenging those in attendance to hear and believe the testimonies of their peers, know Christ, and live according to the word.  Thanks to KC Chiefs Thomas Gafford, Ryan Succop and Danan Hughes for their participation!

Nationwide, 431 fields met in 38 states.  With just under 150 of those fields reporting, over 2,000 commitments to Christ were recorded, and over 4,000 commitments to read the Bible!

If you have Fields of Faith pictures to share, post them at the Facebook group FCA Metro Kansas City, or the nationwide group Fields of Faith.  Check out www.fieldsoffaith.com to read field by field stories!
