On March 14th, the Liberty High School FCA held their 7th annual “Freedom Night” for Liberty High School and Junior High students, drawing over 100 students and community members.  The name “Freedom Night” originally came from John 8:36, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Liberty FCA student-leaders prepared a two hour program that included games, competitions and raffles for gift certificates from local eateries and entertainment sources.  Each of these segments was separated by worship music from the student-led band. With the theme of freedom in mind, the student-leaders took the audience on a “tour” of four Bible stories performed by dramatic actors from nearby Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The attendees were split into four groups, each with about twenty kids, and were escorted from room to room to see and hear monologues that told the stories of the leper (Matt.), Mary Magdalene (Mark), Paul reading from one of his letters and Jesus speaking in the Temple (John).

The kids had a great time singing, laughing, playing games and worshiping together.  A former Liberty FCA student-leader who now attends the University of Missouri was present and said of the event, “That was amazing!"
