COACHES
At the heart of FCA are coaches. The coach is the most influential role model a student-athlete will ever have. Nationwide more than 2.4 million coaches will impact the nearly 50 million youth that participate in sports each year. A coach, more than parents, family, friends or clergy, can help keep a student away from drugs, alcohol, sex, suicide, depression and other issues facing our youth.

FCA’s role is to minister to coaches by:
· Connecting them to Christ
· Connecting them with other coaches
· Help them connect the Bible to their coaching.

FCA’s outreach and resources to coaches include:
· National Coaches Conventions
· Local Coaches Clinics
· Legacy Builders training
· Coach-specific Bibles and devotionals

CAMP
Called a week of “inspiration and perspiration”, FCA Camps have been changing lives since the first-ever camp; which was held at Estes Park, Colo., in 1956. Most recently, a record 302 camps were conducted nationwide with 46,944 enthusiastic and devoted young athletes attending. Camps challenge coaches and athletes to reach their potential by offering comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training in three formats:

· multi-sport
· sport-specific
· team formats

CAMPUS
The school campus is the cornerstone for FCA’s efforts because over 98% of the U.S. population will pass through our schools, and the 7 million athletes that compete in high school sports are influential there. Although the public school doors are closed on many Christian organizations, FCA remains influential because it is led by athletes and coaches. FCA’s strong presence on college campuses allows athletes a chance to continue their growth and offers some an opportunity for new athletes to get introduced to the ministry.

The goal of Campus Ministry is to:
· Enable student-athletes to know and grow in their faith in Christ
· Encourage their peers to do the same
· Join in fellowship in an environment that serves the needs of athletes

This is done by:
· Huddles
· Team Bible Studies
· Team Chaplains
· One Way to Play – Drug Free programs

COMMUNITY
The impact of sports goes beyond just campuses; over 44 million youth, ages 18 and under, participate in youth sports (NCYS 2008). Almost 5 million more adults participate in youth sports in a variety of ways (NCYS 2008). The dramatic growth of club, league and church sports presents a significant opportunity for FCA. Non-school-based FCA ministries are made possible through partnerships with local churches, businesses, parents and volunteers.

To address this opportunity, we’ve established many sport-specific ministries …

We also have several service related ministries specific to assisting the Kansas City community…

Thousands of volunteers carry out the vision of our ministry. ..
