Hailing from the East Coast, Bill was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After playing basketball and baseball at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, where he met both the Lord and his bride of over 20 years, Valerie, Bill landed in Kansas City and began volunteering with FCA. In 1990, he was named Volunteer of the Year for the FCA-KC Area, and by 1992 God had called him to join the full time staff. Serving as Area Director until 1999, Bill went back to volunteering from 1999-2004 to start the organization Enjoy the Game. When he returned, he resumed his position as Area Director and has been serving in that way ever since.
Bill on Teamwork: Valerie and I value the principle of Teamwork as we raise our four children. We have all pulled together to get through many tough times, while also enjoying some amazing blessings as well. When you put a group of people together and they all agree on a common goal, their collective passion and effort will always generate great success. That’s teamwork! |
