Fred Merrell is a beloved FCA volunteer who established the annual Football Coaches Clinic and continues to invest in the coaching community in Kansas City. A graduate of Paseo High School in Kansas City and William Jewell in Liberty, MO, Fred began his coaching career in Liberty, MO. Later, he served as the head football coach at Monroe City High School, West Plains, Blue Springs High School, Shawnee Mission South High School and St. Mary’s High School. His career includes over 46 years of coaching football and multiple other sports, athletic directing, and part-time work for FCA serving the Blue Springs and Independence areas.
FCA was pleased in 2009 to rename the annual Football Coaches Clinic the "FCA Fred Merrell Football Coaches Clinic." Fred's legacy in Kansas City coaching extends on and beyond the field, impacting many men for the glory of God. When you come to the clinic, make sure to get to know this faithful disciple and man of great wisdom and coaching experience.

About the Featured Speaker:
Bill Kramer recently completed his 12th season as the Head Football Coach at Naples HS in Naples, Florida. His teams have been to three Florida State Finals, winning championships in 2001 and 2007. He is a 7 time District Coach of the Year for southwest Florida, and has twice been named the State Coach of the Year in his team's classification. In 2003, Coach Kramer was named the Florida High School Coach of the Year in all classes. He has served as the chair of the FHSAA's football advisory committee and was the only high school coach to serve on the AFCA's Public Relations Committee.
Before going to Naples, Bill was the Head Coach at Hialeah American High School in Miami for three years. He as his wife Susan have three daughters and are preparing to welcome their fourth. |
