Philosophy of S.A.L.T.: The S.A.L.T. (Student Athletic Leadership Training) Team is designed to equip selected FCA collegiate leaders in the areas of Biblical knowledge, leadership skills (such as public speaking, leading small groups, planning events, influencing others, etc), discipleship training, understanding of personal gifts and calling, and practical service opportunities, for the glory of God and the furthering of His Kingdom through FCA and/or their personal ministry.

S College STUDENTS
A Participated in high school and/or college ATHLETICS
L FCA LEADERS in high school and/or college
T TRAINING for personal and/or full-time ministry

Purpose: The purpose of SALT is to provide an opportunity for college students to work with high school, middle school, and elementary students through the ministry of FCA and to provide a training ground for students who desire to explore the possibility of full-time ministry. This is primarily a summer program; however, it can be adapted for students to participate in throughout the school year in order to experience “school-year” ministry.
Through the adventure of reaching these above goals, students will experience the following:

 Teambuilding
 Experience and training in discipleship and evangelism
 Regular evaluations & reflections by Team leader and peers
 Office work skills
 Better understanding of ministry
 Leadership growth with a servant leadership emphasis
 Training on vision, mission, structure of FCA
 Emphasis on spiritual disciplines and serving within our spiritual gifting

Overview:

 10 week full-time internship
 Various summer camps experiences (ie: Leadership, Training, Golf, and Power) and weekly discipleship
 40-50 hours worked weekly during non-camp weeks (including weekends).
 Salary/Home Team: Each intern is responsible for sending out a home team support letters to raise at least half of their salary. They will send out a letter for support at the beginning of the summer, follow-up throughout the summer, and a thank you notes to each donor at the end of summer.
